University of Nova Gorica is publishing an open position:

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (m/f) from the fields of Hydrology or Geology

Application deadline: 5. 6. 2012

It is expected that the applicant:

  • has a PhD from the relevant field

  • has a title of at least assistant professor, or she/he fulfills the requirements for habilitation to corresponding title

  • will take pedagogic work

  • very good oral and written communication skils in Slovenian are essential

    • The selected candidate will be involved in the SLO-ITA crossborder research project ASTIS. The project aims to prepare background documents for the management of transboundary groundwaters in the Soča River Basin, with an emphasis on integrated management of transboundary aquifers, particularly the improvement of qualitative and quantitative status, effective protection and use of transboundary aquifers.
    The selected candidate will, according to her/his habilitation, take over university lectures from the field of Geology or another relevant with the academic year 2012/13.
    The contract will be done for one year, conversion to a tenure position is possible.
