Window of Shanghai
We kindly invite you to attend the opening of the project "Window of Shanghai" and the opening of the exibition "Culture and Citizens in Shanghai".
The project the ‘Window of Shanghai’ was initiated in 2002 by the Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries with the aim to donate to the selected participating university libraries and institutes worldwide books which give the readers an insight into the Chinese culture, society, art, traditional Chinese medicine, the economy of China, China’s geographic diversity, its rich history and folk traditions, calligraphy and the Chinese language. One of the participating institutions is also the University of Nova Gorica.
Through the photographs displayed, the photography exhibition depicts the everyday lives of the inhabitants of Shanghai. The exhibition will mark the beginning of the project the ‘Window of Shanghai’. The exibition will be open from 26 June to 10 July 2012, Monday – Friday between 8:00 and 16:00 hours (Saturday and Sunday the building is closed).
The event will take place on Tuesday, 26 June 2012, at 9:30 in the entrance hall of the University of Nova Gorica, Vipavska 13, Rozna Dolina.
