International Summer School at the University of Nova Gorica

In collaboration with the National Institute for Biology and WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) from the United States, the Center for Biomedical Sciences and Engineering at the University of Nova Gorica is organizing the international summer school called “From 2D Biology to Engineered 3D Medical Solutions.”

The school will take place between 23 and 31 August, 2013 at the Center in the Lanthieri Mansion in Vipava.

The summer school is intended for doctoral and postdoctoral students of biochemistry, biotechnology, biology, biomedical engineering and for all those who work in the field of cell and tissue engineering. The school will accept 16 people. This year, the selected individuals come from Slovenia, France, Italy, Croatia, India, and the United States. The school will host 20 esteemed scientists from Slovenia, Spain, Italy, Germany, Canada, and the United States who will present their research through lectures, lab work, and practical seminars.

The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, 23 August, 2013 at 7 pm in the Lanthieri Mansion in Vipava. The participants will be greeted by the Rector of the University of Nova Gorica, Prof. Dr. Danilo Zavrtanik.
