The alumni meeting of all the schools of the University of Nova Gorica took place on Friday, 18 October, 2013. It successfully completed this year's events which were part of the University of Nova Gorica Week.

This was the second alumni meeting and it brought together around 70 former students and their academic advisors. The main goal of the alumni meeting is to form and maintain contacts between alumni members, their advisors and the representatives of the University’s management sector.

The meeting took place at the Zemono mansion in Vipava. The participants were first greeted by the organizer of the meeting, Nives Štefančič and the Vice-rector for education, Prof. Dr. Mladen Franko. What followed was an introduction of the Industrial Liaison Office which started its operations this year. The head of the office, Uroš Ferjančič explained the possibility of cooperation between the University and various companies. The evening was marked by casual conversations among former students. The relaxed atmosphere was also a result of good food and great wine, provided by the Arkade tourist farm; of course, we also had wine that our University makes. Igor Hodak was in charge of the music that accompanied the get-together.

We wrapped up the evening in the hopes that we meet up again next year and attract an even larger number of participants.
