Towards the end of his visit, Prof. Dr. Fermeglia visited the Lanthieri Mansion which is the headquarters of the School for Viticulture and Enology, the Wine Research Center, and the Center for Biomedical Sciences and Engineering.

The University of Trieste and The University of Nova Gorica already run a few joint projects in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, nanotechnology, and architecture, however, both rectors stressed that mutual projects and overall collaboration need to be strengthened.
