The Reception of the Female Handball Players
On Thursday, 12 December, 2013, the Rector of the Nova Gorica University, Prof. Dr. Danilo Zavrtanik and the Vice-rectors, Prof. Dr. Mladen Franko and Prof. Dr. Gvido Bratina greeted the players of the Female Handball club Mlinotest Ajdovščina at the Lanthieri mansion in Vipava.
Besides the handball team and their coach Branko Leban, the reception guests also included junior players from Ajdovščina, the club’s president, Mr. Ivan Vodopivec, the chairman of the management board of Mlinotest, Mr. David Nabergoj, and members of the club’s management board.
At the present time, the ŽRK Mlinotest Ajdovščina team holds the sixth position on the chart of the First A State Handball Female team, as it has 11 points and half-rate winning success (5 won games, one tie, and five lost games). They will be playing one more home game before the winter break.
The Rector congratulated the players for their success. He added that it was obvious that the Female Handball Club Mlinotest Ajdovščina shows a lot of genuine love and devotion towards its sports projects. At the end, he wished them a lot of success in the sports scene.
