We are inviting you to the public lecture given by Joshua Harris (Embassy of the United States of America)
with the title »The United States' Slow Road to Economic Recovery«.
The lecture will take place on Monday, 13 January 2014 at 2PM at the University of Nova Gorica, Vipavska 13, Rožna Dolina, Lecture Room P-1.
The U.S. economy declined sharply in 2008, setting off a protracted slump characterized by sluggish growth, high unemployment, and instability in financial markets. Five years later, policy-makers are still debating the reasons behind the recession - and the United States' slow road back to economic health. Did the government intervene enough to smooth out inefficiencies in the market, or did overactive government intervention actually contribute to the problem? This lecture will look at both arguments behind the collapse and the U.S. economy's unusually slow recovery.
