The Alpine Convention gives out awards to young scientists for their work related to the topics of energetics and sustainability tourism in the Alps. This year, a Slovene scientist is among the awardees for the first time. This is Dr. Mojca Stubelj Ars, who successfully completed her studies at the Graduate School of the University of Nova Gorica (study program: Environmental Sciences). Among 42 candidates, Dr. Stubelj Ars received the first award for her doctoral thesis titled “Decision support in the implementation of sustainable development in protected areas regarding environmental education and ecotourism,” which she wrote under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marko Bohanc from the Jožef Štefan Institute (and also a faculty member of the University of Nova Gorica).

Congratulations!
