University of Nova Gorica invites to the lecture: "Why electric flight matters" by Dr. Tine Tomažič (Pipistrel d.o.o.).

Lecture will take place on Thursday, 19 March 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Lanthieri mansion in Vipava.

Lecture will be in Slovene.

To say that we live in an exciting time for aviation is an understatement. We are in fact at the advent of a new age, where electric and hybrid-electric propulsion can bring a new meaning to how and where we fly.
Most will agree that flying needs to become quieter, less expensive and more friendly to the environment; but would it not be great if you could take-off and land anywhere, not even having to travel from an airport?
Companies with pioneering vision are already delivering electric aircraft to customers today. The full potential of electric flight, however, is much more exciting and will require true innovation, rather than imitation.
How do you see the future of air travel?
