An Annual Roundtable dedicated to the International Women’s Day to be Held at the Lanthieri Mansion of the University of Nova Gorica.
On Friday, 6 March, 2015, the Lanthieri Mansion of the University of Nova Gorica in Vipava will host a roundtable (annual event) dedicated to the International women’s day.
The roundtable’s title reads “Novelties in Slovenian Science – Encouragements and Hindrances for Women.
The roundtable is organized by the Committee for Women in Science (of the Ministry for Education, Science, and Sport).
The establishing and promoting of equal opportunities for women and men in science is one of the priorities of the Slovene and European research field. The roundtable will also touch upon very topical issues of the changes in higher education’s laws and regulations.
Among the roundtable’s guests will also be Prof. Dr. Katja Mihurko Poniž, the Dean of the School of Humanities and Dr. Željko Oset, who also works at the School of Humanities. The participants will be greeted by Prof. Dr. Danilo Zavrtanik, the Rector of the University of Nova Gorica.
