Full professor for the field of astronomy

Candidates are expected to meet the following criteria: * PhD in physics, astronomy or astrophysics;
* Academic rank of Full Professor or qualifications that meet the criteria for Full Professor at the University of Nova Gorica; * Proficiency in Slovenian language or the ability to become proficient in no longer than two years; * Eligibility for project/program leader for national funding calls at the Slovenian Research Agency; * High relevance of the research field and outstanding impact of the candidate.

Successful candidate will be expected to take a key role in academic activities related to astronomy and astrophysics at the School for Applied Sciences of the University of Nova Gorica as well as to form and lead a research group in the field.
