IN MEMORIAM

On Thursday 4 June, 2015, our colleague, Assistant Professor Vojmir Francetič left us and the academic and research fields much too early.

He worked for the University of Nova Gorica as an external faculty member. He was a faculty member at the Bachelor’s program in Viticulture and Enology from the very start of the program.

We will remember him as a professor who could explain General and Inorganic chemistry really well to the students of viticulture and enology. He also brought a lot of enthusiasm and expertise into his teaching of Analytical Methods in Winemaking and Wine Chemistry. Because of this, the students loved to unveil the mysteries of chemistry processes with him, the processes that accompany the making, the stabilizing, and the aging of wines. They loved to pick him as their theses advisor as well.

He was a very motivated and also kind colleague, a devoted professor and always ready to help others.

The condolence ceremony dedicated to the memory of Assistant professor dr. Vojmir Francetič will be held on Tuesday, 30 June, 2015 at 11 in Lecture room 1, first floor of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the University of Ljubljana, Večna pot 113, Ljubljana. A condolence book will be available at the ceremony.
