The Visit of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the University of Nova Gorica

On Wednesday, 18 November, 2015, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, his Excellency Morteza Darzi Ramandi, visited the University of Nova Gorica.

The Rector of the University of Nova Gorica Prof. Dr. Danilo Zavrtanik and the Vice-rector for research and arts, Prof Dr. Gvido Bratina greeted him at the University’s premises at the Lanthieri mansion and introduced to him the university’s activities.

The Ambassador and the Rector both expressed a strong interest in closer collaboration between Slovenia and Iran in the areas of pedagogy as well as research and the student exchange. The Ambassador also talked about the courses of Persian language in Slovenia, namely language courses and such subjects (Persian language) at various schools in Slovenia. The Rector expressed a great interest in that.

Both sides want to establish collaboration between the academic and research institutions in Iran and the University of Nova Gorica and, moreover, sign a corresponding collaboration agreement.
