The students of the School for Viticulture and Enology became the best Lidl's young vintners

On 19 November, 2015, at the opening of the 18th Slovene wine festival in Ljubljana, the winners of Lidl’s competition “Young Vintner 2015” were announced.

Vanesa Klinec, Alen Maligoj, Karlo Kopjar, and Matej Zaro from the School for Viticulture and Enology at the University of Nova Gorica became the winners of the third Lidl’s competition “Young Vintner.” The convinced the members of the jury by their diligence and hard work dedicated to the wine-making, and moreover, with the right way of communicating. The team that, when entering the competition, named itself “the Lanthieri’s Stars”, come from the School for Viticulture and Enology at the University of Nova Gorica. They produced the wine called Zelen. The award is very encouraging – the winners will receive from the organizer, namely the Lidl company, 1000 euros, the co-sponsor of this year’s “Young Vinter” competition – the P&F Jeruzalem company – will also offer a month of paid practical work to the winners.
