University of Nova Gorica announces the assistant in the field of experimental linguistics / psychology / cognitive science job vacancy.

The Center for Cognitive Science of Language of the University of Nova Gorica (http://ung.si/ckzj/en) invites applications for a 9-month research assistant (m / f) position in experimental linguistics / psychology / cognitive science.

Applicants are expected to: * possess at least a Bologna 2nd-cycle degree; a Ph.D. is considered an advantage, * have a strong background and demonstrated experience in experimental linguistics, psychology or experimental cognitive science, * be able to work independently, as well as work in a team taking an active role in designing, organizing and conducting behavioral experiments, * have a native command of Slovenian (to be able to run behavioral experiments with monolingual Slovenian speakers), * have a working knowledge of English, * take on small teaching obligations (depending on the needs in the University's study programs).

The successful candidate will be employed full-time with a standard University of Nova Gorica salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience, with a contract until December 31, 2018. The planned starting date is April 1, 2018.

The location of the Center for Cognitive Science of Language is in Nova Gorica, on the border between Slovenia and Italy. The Center has an experimental lab featuring modern eye-tracking equipment.
