Today, the National Institute of Chemistry awarded the Pregl awards for exceptional achievements in the field of basic and applied research in chemistry and related sciences.

Prof. Dr. Gvido Bratina, the Vice-rector for Research and Arts and the Head of the Laboratory of the Organic Matter Physics at the University of Nova Gorica is also among this year’s winners.

As the award justification text said, Prof. Dr. Gvido Bratina is one of the most successful scientists in the field of researching electronic, optical and structural properties of thin organic semi-conductive layers and two-dimensional materials. In the last years, he has paid a lot of attention to the transport of the electric field through organic semiconductors in material systems connected with graphene.
