The “Apple of Inspiration Award” goes to Dr. Tanja Petrushevska and Doc. Dr. Gabrijela Zaharijaš

During a special ceremony at the presidential palace, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor awarded the “Apple of Inspiration” award to two faculty members at the University of Nova Gorica, Dr. Tanja Petrushevska and Doc. Dr. Gabrijela Zaharijaš.

Dr. Tanja Petrushevska received the “Apple of Inspiration” award for the discovery of the first supernova where a double neutron star has been formed and Doc. Dr. Gabrijela Zaharijaš received it for her research of outer galactic light, with the usage of the Fermi telescope.
