Postdoctoral associate in the field of chemistry (m/f)

We are seeking candidates interested in the possibility of a rewarding research and academic career at the University of Nova Gorica. We can offer work in a dynamic research environment, supported by the latest research equipment and with a distinct involvement in the international research arena.

Work will be conducted within the "Materials Research Laboratory":http://www.ung.si/sl/raziskave/laboratorij-za-raziskave-materialov/. In line with their election, the successful candidate will also assume teaching duties in the field of chemistry in one or several of the university’s study programmes. They will work in the field of experimental study of the chemistry of functional materials surfaces. The successful candidate will also take up membership of the Quality Committee, which offers the university assistance concerning quality assurance.

Application requirements: * doctorate of science in the field of chemistry or related disciplines, * knowledge and experience of experimental work in the fields of physical, analytical and inorganic chemistry or the science of materials, * excellent command of Slovenian and English.

Work in the position is expected to start on 1 September 2019. Employment is offered for full working hours in a fixed term of one year, with the possibility of extension.
