An International Workshop “Open Education Design” in Vipava
The University of Nova Gorica (UNG) and UNESCO’s department of Open Technologies for Open Educational Resources and Open Learning at the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) co-created and now for the second year in a row also coordinate an international mentor program, called
Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW).
Last year, fourteen projects were a part of this initiative, this year we have more than thirty projects. As part of these projects, authors from all over the world have developed materials for e-learning which are in line with the UN Goals of Sustainable Development.
This year’s program ended with an international workshop Open Education Design, which took place at the Lanthieri Mansion in Vipava (UNG’s venue) between July 1st and 4th, 2019. As part of the workshop, we also had a one-day program for companies, intended primarily for managers and heads of HR departments. Open education can help them conduct a more efficient, key future-tasks-driven training for employees.
