Post-doctoral assistant or assistant professor of computer science (m/f)
The University of Nova Gorica has a vacancy for the position of post-doctoral assistant or assistant professor of computer science.

We are seeking candidates interested in pursuing a rewarding research and academic career at the University of Nova Gorica. We offer a dynamic research environment with a focus on involvement in the international academic sphere.
The candidate will work at the "Centre for Information Technologies and Applied Mathematics":http://www.ung.si/en/research/centre-for-systems-and-information-technologies/ in an interdisciplinary research group that operates at the intersection of computer science, information science, mathematics, systems management technologies and process engineering. It develops new approaches to modelling and applies them to a variety of fields, from biomedicine to education and industry. It also develops methods for intelligent data analysis and tests them in areas in which IT support is key to uncovering new knowledge. The selected candidate will conduct research in the field of data science.
Their appointment will also include teaching obligations in computer science subjects in the Engineering and Management study programme at the "School of Engineering and Management":http://www.ung.si/en/study/school-of-engineering-and-management/ and in study programmes at other schools within the university.
To be considered for the position, candidates should: * have a doctorate of science in computer science, * have good command of English.
Priority will be given to candidates with experience in data science and candidates who hold the title of assistant professor/docent or who meet the conditions for holding the title of assistant professor/docent.
Work in the position is expected to start on 1 October 2019. Employment is offered for full-time working hours over a fixed term of one year, with the possibility of extension.
