Research assistant with PhD (electrical engineering) (m/f)

We are seeking candidates interested in pursuing a rewarding research and academic career at the University of Nova Gorica. We offer a dynamic research environment with a focus on involvement in the international academic sphere.

The work will be carried out at the Centre for Astrophysics and Cosmology and the Centre for Atmospheric Research.
The successful candidate will carry out research in the fields of instrumentation for experiments in astrophysics or particle physics and instrumentation for atmospheric remote sensing (lidar). The successful candidate will also assume teaching duties in study programmes at the School of Engineering and Management.

The successful candidate will be expected to start work on 1 October 2019 or as soon as possible after the selection process has been completed. Employment is offered for full-time working hours over a fixed term of one year, with the possibility of extension.

To be considered for the position, candidates should: * have a doctorate of science in electrical engineering; * have experience in working with C++ data capture software; * have a good command of the English language.
