Assistant professor of computer science (m/f)

We are seeking candidates interested in pursuing a rewarding research and academic career at the University of Nova Gorica. We offer a dynamic research environment with a focus on involvement in the international academic sphere.

The candidate will work at the Centre for Information Technologies and Applied Mathematics in an interdisciplinary research group that operates at the intersection of computer science, information science, mathematics, system theory and automatic control systems. It develops new approaches to modelling and applies them to a variety of fields, from biomedicine to education and industry. It also develops methods for intelligent data analysis and knowledge discovery.

The selected candidate will conduct research in the field of data science. Their appointment will also include teaching obligations in computer science subjects in the Engineering and Management study programme at the School of Engineering and Management and in study programmes at other Schools within the university.

Eligible candidates should have: * doctorate in computer science, * research experience and internationally recognized publications in the field of data science, * a good command of English.

The start date is by agreement. Employment is offered as a full-time position.
