Award of the Slovenian Animated Film Association for UNG’s School of Arts Graduate
On the occasion of the International Animation Day, which is observed on 28 October, the Slovenian Animated Film Association (DSAF) awarded Amadeja Kirbiš, a graduate of UNG’s School of Arts.
She received the award for the best completed student animated project 2021 for her Dysmorphia student project.
In its announcement of the award, the committee wrote that “the story of a girl, who suffers from a distorted perception of her physical appearance, is revealed in a film of warm colours, with an excellent sound image and jazz rhythms, in a fluid motion without unnecessary deviations from the main story. This is a story that works exceptionally well in the animated medium. Congratulations for the bold choice of the subject matter and for the implementation which shows an excellent sense of dramaturgy.”
