On Tuesday, March 24 2009, the awarding of the "Jožef Stefan Golden Emblem Prize" took place at the Institute Jožef Stefan. The prizes are awarded to the Slovene and foreign authors of outstanding doctoral thesis in the fields of natural-mathematical, technical, medical, as well as biotechnical sciences.
Among the recipients of the awards was also Dr. Miha Založnik, who has successfully finished his doctoral studies at the graduate study programme Materials Characterization of the University of Nova Gorica.
