ConSOLE XVII Scientific Conference
Between January 16 and 18 2009, the School of Humanities of the University of Nova Gorica is organizing the ConSOLE XVII Scientific Conference. ConSOLE or Conference of the Student Organization of Linguistics of Europe (SOLE) is an annual travelling student conference. It is open to registered students worldwide and it provides a forum for the coming generations of linguistics to present their research to an international audience. In the past, ConSOLE travelled all over Europe, and now after 16 years, it is finally organized outside former Western Europe.
In addition to the 21 selected student presentations at this conference (presenters come from Belgium, Denmark, France, Canada, Hungary, Germany, Holland, Spain and USA), there will be three invited plenary speakers, all world-renowned linguists: Richard Larson from Stony Brook University, Paul Hirschbühler from University of Ottawa and John Harris from University College London.
