Our student recruitment activities abroad

Are you a prospective student wishing to know more about study opportunities at UNG? Check out where to meet us abroad.

In line with our strong international orientation, we warmly welcome international students from all over the world. Currently, approximately 50 % of our students come from abroad. We are aware of the fact that international students, together with their knowledge, experience and the diversity that they bring, significantly add to the quality of our study programmes, as well as to the international character and atmosphere at our univeristy.

We wish to attract even more international students to join us and we are therefore engaged in many student recruitment activities in various countries such as taking part in educational fairs and organising presentations abroad.

Our student recruitment activities abroad follow the strategies and trends for the internationalisation of the Slovenian higher education area.
We closely cooperate with the ministries and other national governmental bodies and take part in various projects and initiatives, such as the Study in Slovenia initiative.

Our current student recruitment priority areas abroad are:

  • Slovenia’s neighbouring countries, particularly the local Friuli-Venezia-Giulia region of Italy and the Croatian Istra and Kvarner areas;
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo and North Macedonia;
  • the Russian Federation, the Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries of the former Soviet Union;
  • the countries of the South-East Asia and PR China.
