University of Nova Gorica is inviting candidates to prepare a joint application to the call for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships (the application deadline is 9. September 2020). Details of the call can be found at this site.

University of Nova Gorica, located in beautiful Vipava valley in Western Slovenia, is the only research University in Slovenia with advanced research activities in the areas of:

  • high-energy astrophysics, astrophysics of transients, dark matter searches and instrumentation for Cherenkov Telescope Array
  • remote and in-situ sensing of atmospheric properties and composition
  • experimental syntax and experimental pragmatics
  • development and application of photothermal techniques for characterization of advanced materials
  • nanobody technology for medical and environmental applications
  • human toxicity testing in the in vitro models
  • breath biomarkers and air pollution
  • algebraic classic and fuzzy hypercompositional structures
  • ordered algebras
  • computational creativity
  • knowledge discovery from large databases (with applications in biomedicine)
  • electronic properties of 2D van der Waals heterostructures
  • digital humanities (music, literature and visual art; social science and philosophy)
  • time-resolved characterization of the electronic properties of new materials by means of innovative light sources (from table-top lasers to free-electron lasers)

The candidates should prepare Cover letter, Curriculum vitae, Publication list, and Research statement, in which they describe their interests in research that they plan to conduct as a Marie Skłodowska -Curie research fellow.
