Getting to Novi Sad
By car
Novi Sad is about 100 km north of Belgrade right in the center of Vojvodina (the north part of Serbia). See the location page for the exact location. If you are planning on coming to Novi Sad by car, you probably know where Serbia and Novi Sad are. The exact location of the conference is not known yet (most likely it will be held at the Filozofski fakultet inside the campus of the University of Novi Sad (marked on the map).
By plane
You can fly to Belgrade airport from all major European cities. Novi Sad is 70 km / 45 miles from Belgrade airport. The easiest way to get to/from the Belgrade airport is to take a taxi. The price is between 30-50 Euros. Make sure you book it in advance. You can contact one of the agencies below or you can email us the flight information and we'll try to book it for you. The trip will take you about an hour.

There are no public bus services from the airport to Novi Sad. You need to take a bus to Belgrade center, and change to a bus or train to Novi Sad. See below for bus information
Belgrade Airport to Belgrade Bus/Train Station:
Belgrade airport is 15km from the center of Belgrade. There are two bus stops at the airport - one is next to Terminal 1 and the other one is in front of the Arrivals entrance. If you decide to take a taxi to Belgrade, find out the price beforehand. You shouldn't pay more than 1500 dinars.

Belgrade Central Bus Station to Novi Sad:
Buses run every 15 to 45 minutes and the journey takes an hour and a half.
Belgrade to Novi Sad: Every 15 to 45 minutes from 03:00 to 23:59
Novi Sad to Belgrade: Every 15 to 45 minutes from 5:00 to 23:59
Price: 550 - 750 Dinars

Local transport
Taxis
Taxis are quite cheap and a very popular form of transport in Novi Sad. For most destinations the ride will cost you 150 (or less) -250 dinars. To get the best (discount) price, it is best to make a phone call.
You can also send a text message (SMS) containing the address where you are. You usually get an instant message confirming that your request has been accepted, and soon another one with the information about the vehicle and the arrival time.
In most cases you'll have to pay in cash, although some companies (Nacionalni taxi) take credit cards as well.
