SECOND EUROPEA WINE CHAMPIONSHIP
From 9th to 13th April the SECOND EUROPEA WINE CHAMPIONSHIP took place in Jumilla in Murcia, Spain. Among the participants, aged between 17 and 25, were also two students of the School of Viticulture and Enology of the University of Nova Gorica.
The School of Viticulture and Enology of the University of Nova Gorica was represented by Nika Gregorič, second year student, and Borut Trbižan, first year student, accompanied by their mentor, Melita Sternad Lemut. Their participation at the championship was a success, since they were awarded two silver medals for the second place in the category “Best European Team” as well as for the second place in the special category “Special Award Spain”, testing the knowledge of the Spanish enography.
