The German Ambassador Visited the University of Nova Gorica
On 3 December, 2015, the University of Nova Gorica hosted the Ambassador of Germany in Slovenia, her Excellency Dr. Anna Elisabeth Prinz.
As part of this courtesy visit, she met with the Rector of the University of Nova Gorica Prof. Dr. Danilo Zavrtanik and the Vice-rector for Education Prof. Dr. Mladen Franko. They introduced the University’s education and research work to her and familiarized the Ambassador with the current collaboration of the University with select German institutions.
The Ambassador also visited the Wine Research Center which is part of the University of Nova Gorica and operates at the Lanthieri Mansion in Vipava. Moreover, she paid a visit to the laboratories at the University’s research center in Ajdovščina.
At the end of the visit, the Rector expressed the University’s interest in deepening the collaboration with German education and research institutions, which the Ambassador accepted with great enthusiasm.
