Postdoctoral fellow or assistant professor the field of computer science (m/f)

We are seeking candidates interested in pursuing a rewarding academic career at the University of Nova Gorica. We offer a dynamic research environment with a focus on involvement in the international academic activities.

The candidate will work in the Centre for Information Technologies and Applied Mathematics in an interdisciplinary research group that operates at the intersection of computer science, information science, mathematics, system theory and automatic control systems. The group develops new approaches to modelling and applies them to a variety of fields, from biomedicine to education and industry. It also develops methods for intelligent data analysis and knowledge discovery.

The selected candidate will conduct research in the field of data science. Under the terms of their appointment, the successful candidate will also assume teaching duties at the School of Engineering and Management of the University of Nova Gorica.

Eligible candidates should have: * a doctorate in computer science, * research experience and internationally recognized publications in the field of data science, * a good command of English.

Priority will be given to candidates who hold the rank of assistant professor or equivalent, or meet the conditions for holding the rank of assistant professor.

The start date is by agreement. Employment is offered as a full-time position at the location of the University of Nova Gorica in the Lanthieri Mansion, Vipava.
