What is the procedure for obtaining a tax identification number?

You must complete a DR-02 form, along with the instructions available on the website (available in Slovenian, Italian, Hungarian, English and German languages; the form can also be obtained at the finance office) and submit it to any finance office other than the General Financial Office or the Special Financial Office. The procedure may be carried out in three ways:

In this case, the authorised person must bring along the DR-02 form, completed with your information, a power of attorney and a copy of your identification document and the documents containing the information to be entered in the tax register (or altered and updated);
  • by mail. In addition to the DR-02 form, you must attach a copy of the identification document and the documents containing the information to be entered in the tax register (or altered and updated).
