I believe that lifelong learning in the 21st century is an important principle for every individual. Until now, I have been upgrading my pedagogical competences, which are of extreme importance, at various professional seminars. However, since I have always felt the need to keep up with the latest issues in my field of expertise, choosing the master's study programme Leadership in Open Education was the right choice. My purpose and goal of studying in this master's programme is not just to pursue a diploma, but to acquire important and useful knowledge, with which I will further improve my teaching skills. The learning methods that we use at UNG focus on the practical application of knowledge; the theoretical knowledge is, of course, important for obtaining a professional title, but we learn how to to transfer this knowledge into practice. I have the impression that each exam was stress-free and, in fact it was a pure celebration of the practical application of theory, which is certainly one of the most motivating moments that inspire and encourage further progress. Last but not least, it is extremely pleasant to change the established mindset and step out of the comfort zone, under the expert guidance of excellent professors and colleagues. It takes courage, but it always pays off.
