Assistant professor in the field of film (m/f)
The University of Nova Gorica announces a job opening for assistant professor in the field of film.

The work will be carried out at the Academy of Arts, University of Nova Gorica. The Academy is a young and dynamic institution with modern study approaches and a focus on personal work with students.
The selected candidate will work in the field of video and film, which as a complex medium connects visual media into new film and video entities.
Due to a wide range of expressive disciplines and new technological possibilities, new individual languages can be developed.
The space for their use expands infinitely with the development of digital technologies. In accordance with the appointment, the candidate will also assume teaching responsibilities in the study programs of the Academy.
Requirements for application:
- University degree or a second-cycle diploma in the field of arts,
- Assistant professor title or meeting the requirements for appointment to the assistant professor title,
- Demonstrated ability in independent research, artistic, or professional work,
- Independence, adaptability to work in a group, precision, and reliability in work,
- Ability to lead group work,
- Proficiency in English at least at B2 level,
- Two years of work experience in similar or related positions.
The anticipated start of work is October 1, 2023. The employment will be part-time, 20 hours per week, for a fixed term of one year with the possibility of extension.
