Assistant professor in the field of animation (m/f)

The work will be carried out at the Academy of Arts, University of Nova Gorica . The Academy is a young and dynamic institution with modern study approaches and a focus on personal work with students.
The selected candidate will work in the field of animation, which, as a complex medium, combines painting, sculpture, photography, and film into new entities. Due to a wide range of expressive disciplines and new technological possibilities, new individual languages can be developed. The space for their use expands infinitely with the development of digital technologies. In accordance with the appointment, the candidate will also assume teaching responsibilities in the study programs of the Academy.

Requirements for application:

• University degree or second-level diploma in the field of arts,
• Associate professor title or fulfillment of requirements for appointment to the associate professor title, Proven ability in independent research, artistic, or professional work,
• Independence, adaptability to work in a group, precision, and reliability in work,
• Ability to lead group work,
• Knowledge of English language at least at B2 level,
• Two years of work experience in similar or related positions.

The anticipated start date is October 1, 2023. The employment will be for a part-time position of 20 hours per week, for a fixed term of one year with the possibility of extension.
