University of Nova Gorica students win three trophies at Inter-University sports competition

The Inter-University sports competition, attended by teams from various Slovenian universities, was organised by the Student Council of the University of Maribor, and was held on 30th November 2023 at the Leon Štukelj University Sports Centre.

Students from the University of Nova Gorica competed in three disciplines, namely men's basketball, where they placed 2nd, and both women's volleyball and men's football, where both teams placed 3rd.

The men's basketball team was represented by: Andrej Markov, Lazar Dugalić, Boban Trajkovski, Luka Ivanovski, Ervin Huskanović, Ajdin Mujezinović, Stojan Gjorgiev, Matija Valant in Filip Kosmač.

The women's volleyball team was represented by: Marija Nešović, Ena Djurić, Anja Stanojević, Natalija Zlatanova, Zoja Rokavec, Jovana Mijajlović, Magdalina Mihajlovska in Anastasija Stoilkovska.

The men's football team was represented by: Ibrahim Mujezinović, Ervin Huskanović, Stojan Gjorgiev, Filip Cvijović, Bogdan Cvijović, Nik Preradović, Bogdan Petrović in Roman Paxyutkin.

"We held this competition for the first time this year, but we definitely want it to become a mainstay on our student calendars. The event wasn't just an opportunity to compete, but also to socialise, network, and strengthen the bonds of friendship among students from different universities," said the Student Council of the University of Maribor.
