On 12 December, the Pregl Awards for outstanding doctoral work in the field of chemistry and related sciences were awarded at the pre-New Year reception of the National Institute of Chemistry.

Among this year’s winners is Dr. Kristijan Lorber, who defended his doctoral thesis in the Materials programme at the Graduate School of the University of Nova Gorica on 22 September 2023.
Dr. Lorber received the award for his doctoral thesis entitled »Thermal and combined photo-thermal dry reforming of methane (DRM) over nanoshaped Ni/CeO2 catalysts«. The thesis supervisor was Assist. Prof. Dr. Petar Djinović.
