The University of Nova Gorica has a vacancy for the position of post-doctoral assistant or assistant professor in the field of open education.

We are seeking candidates interested in pursuing a rewarding research and academic career at the University of Nova Gorica. We offer a dynamic research environment with a focus on involvement in the international academic sphere.
The candidate will work at the Centre for Information Technologies and Applied Mathematics in an interdisciplinary research group that operates at the intersection of computer science, information science, mathematics, system theory and automatic control systems. It develops new approaches to modelling and applies them to a variety of fields, from biomedicine to education and industry. It also develops methods for intelligent data analysis and knowledge discovery.
The selected candidate will conduct research in the field of open education. Their appointment will also include teaching in the international master’s programme Leadership in Open Education at the School of Engineering and Management.
Eligible candidates should have: * a doctorate in computer science or another relevant field, * experience of development and research in the field of e-learning, * a good command of English.
Priority will be given to candidates with experience in open education and candidates who hold the rank of assistant professor or equivalent or who meet the conditions for holding the rank of assistant professor or equivalent.
The start date is by agreement. Employment is offered as a full-time position.
