The scientific conference “Commemorating the hundredth anniversary of the last national population census in the Austrian Littoral in 1910 – language, nationality, border” organised by the School of Humanities of the University of Nova Gorica and the Milko Kos Historical Institute of ZRC SAZU will take place on Monday, 6 December 2010 at the University of Nova Gorica, Via della Croce 3, Gorizia, Italy.

University of Nova Gorica has organized an International School: “Monitoring, fate and toxicity of toxic compounds in the terrestrial environment”, which will be held in Nova Gorica during the period from 29.11. until 11.12.2010. University of Nova Gorica's Laboratory for astroparticle physics is for the second time in a row hosting the international conference »Time and Matter 2010«, taking place from 4-8 October 2010, in Budva Montenegro. The aim of the conference is to present multiple aspects of time and matter in all fields of physics, from elementary particles to galactic and cosmological proportions.

The round table will confront opinions on up-to-date online crossings of education, art and culture of Miha Rejc, social Web expert and winner of the Gold Quill Award, Robertina Šebjanič, visual interdisciplinary artist with excellent references, Luka Frelih, computer programmer for artists, and internationally recognized media artist, and Rene Rusjan, co-author of Digital Arts and Practices study programme and Programme director of the School of Arts. Dr. Peter Purg, project manager of the ePlatform project, will moderate the discussion.
