University wine estate

Vineyard estate of the University of Nova Gorica is located on the exceptional position of the upper Vipava valley, with a total of 1,3 ha, which enables the practical and experimental work of the students of the School for Viticulture and Enology and research within the Wine Research Centre of University of Nova Gorica nearby Vipava and Lanthieri mansion. Within the School of Viticulture and Enology and University Zelen, University Pinela, University Red and Rector’s Choice wine.

On the Estate we removed the old vineyards of the Merlot variety, and we re-planted the vineyards of local grape varieties Zelen and Pinela. The students do part of their practical training also in University Estate.
