Tadej Žnidarčič is documentary photographer, born in Ljubljana, currently living in the USA. He mostly focuses on social issues and has photographed polio survivors in Nigeria, schools on boats in Bangladesh, street children in Kenya, IT in Rwanda, maternity wards in Uganda, and programs that address the needs of the elderly in the USA. He has collaborated with non-profit organisations in the field of health, education, and human rights, and has received Global Fund for Children/International Center of Photography Fellowship that took him to India, Bangladesh, and Romania to document the impact of local non-profits on their communities. His photographs have been published in newspaper and magazines, among others National Geographic Slovenija, The New York Times, The Guardian,, Financial Times Magazine, Stern, Le Monde, Economist, International Herald Tribune, The Independent, D Magazine, FAZ, Die Zeit, The Observer, IL Magazine, and Io Donna. Magazines Fotografija and National Geographic Slovenija, and photography blogs Photo District News, Daylight, Verve, CNN, and Foreign Policy featured his photography projects. His work has been awarded by Fotografija leta, Slovenia Press Photo, Photo Review (USA), Applied Arts (Canada), and Pride Photo Award (Holland) competitions. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Europe and the United States, among others Moving Walls and New York Photo Festival in the USA and in Mala Galeriija in Cankarjev Dom in Ljubljana.
