In June of this year, a prestigious publishing house Oxford University Press published a monograph by a faculty member of the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Nova Gorica who also works as a researcher at the Karst Research Institute at ZRC SAZU.

Assistant Professor Tanja Pipan’s book is titled “Shallow Subterranean Habitats: Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation.” The book is a result of her collaboration with a world-renowned Professor of biology and evolution of subterranean organisms and habitats, dr. David C. Culver from the American University in Washington DC.

Both authors were previously (in 2009) invited by the same publishing house to publish a join book project titled “The Biology of Caves and Other Subterranean Habitats.”
