On Monday, 16 March, 2015, the members of the Council for Sustainability and Environment Protection at the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning (MOP) elected Suzana Žižek, a faculty member at the School of Environmental Sciences (at University of Nova Gorica) as the President of the Council.

A Faculty Member of the University of Nova Gorica Became the President of the Council for Sustainability and Environment Protection

Assistant Professor Suzana Žižek has been employed at the University of Nova Gorica since 2014. She works as a researcher in the field of ecotoxicology at the Laboratory for Environmental Research and teaches courses in Environment and Agriculture, Land Ecosystems, and Ecotoxicology at the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Nova Gorica. When she was elected as President of the Council, she promised to do her best to contribute to environment protection and sustainability.
