A long-time Provost of the University of Nova Gorica, Acad. Prof. Dr. Boštjan Žekš is the receiver of the Golden Order award for Special Achievements

Today, during a special ceremony at the Presidential Palace, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, gave out State awards.

The Golden Order for Special Achievements was received by a long-time Provost of the University of Nova Gorica Council Member and Professor Emeritus, Acad. Prof. dr. Boštjan Žekš. The Award was given to him for his scientific, research and leadership work, as we all for his contribution to promoting Slovenia (and its achievements) around the world.

The Golden Order for Special Achievements was also received by Boris Podrecca for his outstanding architectural work on the international scale. Andrej Šter received the Order for Special Achievements for his all-encompassing help given to Slovenian citizens around the world, particularly during the pandemic.
