Numerous annual events marking the beginning of the new Academic year
The University of Nova Gorica will traditionally organise numerous annual events marking the beginning of the new Academic year 2009/2010.
• The ceremony held in honour of the new First and Second Level students of the University of Nova Gorica will take place on Monday, October 19, 2009.
• Scientific evenings. Lecture given by prof. dr. Satya N. Atluri (director of the Center for Aerospace Research and Education, University of California Irvine, ZDA) titled From the Mega to the Nano: Computer Modeling in Engineering and Sciences will take place on Wednesday, October 21 2009 at 7 p.m. at the mansion Zemono (Vipava).
• The ceremony of the begining of the new Academic year 2009/2010 will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 18:00 hours at the Zemono mansion near Vipava. On this occasion, the following awards will be presented:
- Doctor Honoris Causa Award to Prof. Dr. Satya N. Atluri
- Professor Emeritus Award to Acad. Prof. Dr. Andrej Kranjc
- Golden Plate Award to Prof. Dr. Bogdan Glumac
- Alumnus Primus and Alumnus Optimus Awards
• The ceremony held in honour of the new generation of graduate students of the University of Nova Gorica will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 18:00 hours in the lecture theatre of the University of Nova Gorica - at the University Campus in Ajdovščina, Vipavska cesta 11 C, Ajdovščina.
