Research interests
Being a physicist with elementary particle physics background, I’m involved in the studies of cosmic rays with extreme energies within the Pierre Auger Collaboration and high energy gamma rays within the Cherenkov Telescope Array Consortium, where I lead the Slovenian group. I directly contribute to the development and comissioning of the CTA-N Raman Lidar Pathfinder expected to be permanently deployed at the CTA Observatory site at La Palma. As a spin-off of atospheric studies for astrophysical observatories, my other research interests include lidar-based remote sensing of atmospheric properties and studies of atmospheric air flows, in particular the Bora wind.
