The "9th European Meeting on Environmental Chemistry - EMEC 9" took place in Girona, Spain from 4th to 7th December 2008. Our student of the graduate study programme Environmental Sciences of the University of Nova Gorica and a member of the Laboratory for Environmental Research at the University of Nova Gorica Mag. Malgorzata Piecha received "Award for the best oral presentation".
The prize was awarded, by the Scientific Committee, to young promising scientists for their presentations of the results of their scientific work. She had the presentation titled »Cholesterol lowering statin drugs – an environmental threat?«.
